EJF Newsletter— In Memoriam — Dr. Anthony Laine

December 7, 2010 — It was with great sadness that I learned today of the death in November of longtime EJF member Dr. Anthony Laine. Dr. Laine held Ph.D.'s in nuclear physics and electrical engineering, and was a longtime consultant to the government on such issues with a security clearance so high that he required a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) "minder."

But his value to the security of our nation made little difference to Ms. Devonne Moore with Maximus child support enforcement in Tennessee. I believe it is fair to state that Ms. Moore and Maximus literally hounded Dr. Laine to death using a phony order from a court that doesn't exist in the fictitious town of Maricopa, Tennessee.

Dr. Laine's son is now 33 and the daughter 32, but until his death, and possibly after, Maximus and Devonne Moore hounded him, repeatedly jailed him until the FBI made them stop, and garnished his pay until he died for child support he had long ago paid. Nor did most of the money Maximus collected end up going to the children's mother.

The Equal Justice Foundation has posted his story, and added on to it over the years in the article How To Destroy A Nuclear Physicist. We look forward to working with his widow to add the final chapter of this disgrace to mankind and offer her our heartfelt condolences for the loss of her husband.

Requiescat in pacem,

Charles E. Corry, Ph.D.
