September 17, 1998, Charleston (States New Service) A 19-year-old woman says she was trying to protect her sister when she allegedly killed a man. Heather Shamblin has been indicted by a Kanawha County grand jury for the murder of Brian Kimble at the apartment they shared in Dunbar. Ms. Shamblin says she stabbed Brian because she thought he was going to attack her sister.
